Lusty Eyes, Empty Stomach

Code of conduct, is not irreversible. As human beings, etiquettes, standards, and guidelines, there are, to follow in a society. But human nature known to have a loose code of conduct. We obey the institutional guidelines (however rarely), but fail to understand our inner insticts. We see someone beautiful, doesn't mean it fulfills everything we want. It is totally temporal. As human beings we are meant to pursue high esteem, rather than pursuing some materials (man and woman). Yes, we are human beings and have emotional element too, but it should not come before our higher self.  The main reason for the expression is that, objects can give us only temporary satisfaction, however, the real goal of human beings should be to achieve their higher self ( which actually meant for society/ humanity). It is ever lasting sense of bliss.

A small talk With Rubul Mout

Image
If you have read 'Muru eta xopun ase' the one of the best selling book in Assamese language, you may know its writer Dr. Rubul Mout, and his lifelong struggle through poverty and his recent triumph as a Harvard Research Scholar.  A few weeks ago on the whatsapp status of Anjan Jyoti Deka the Theoretical physicist from Assam, I got a great news of Rubul Mout, conducting regular session for science enthusiasts for Assam. The post included an link to his web page on Harvard website and even provided his email.  This is like having Heaven on hand (Hatote swarga pua). The Rubul Mout, talking to him is like an impossible dream. I just mailed from phone without expecting any results as I am already accustomed to rejection due to numerous failed PhD applications. Just next morning I got a reply from him, I am like reply from THE Rubul Mout, and in THE morning when even I was not left my bed. Without getting any late I called all my Juniora and seniors whoever I

The Eighth (8th) Wonder of the World

Image
Seems lil' bit confusing, nay? Yes, the concept itself was bewilder for me at first. It has taken not a second to wander the wonder that is still silent. Getting bored? Let, me introduce you to the 8th wonder that is silent. It is an abstract form of wonder, Yoga.  Yes, the Seven wonders ( the Great Wall of China , Chichén Itzá of Mexico, The ancient city of Petra , Jordan , Machu Picchu of Peru, Christ the Redeemer of Rio de Janeiro, Colosseum of Rome and Taj Mahal of Agra, India) we know are really mesmerizing to watch and observe. Meanwhile, the Yogik culture of India, I would prefer, should be felt in the top of all these wonders.  Don't get it on a wrong way. Yoga is not about religion. The most flexible and healthy form of observation, I think is yoga. It works silently in our minds, and relates to our body. It really energizes the thinking capability of ours'.  WHY, am I talking about Yoga?  I think Yoga is a Humane Religion, that never compares, or eq

First Income and a dilemma

AM STARTING my journey as junior research fellow in Tocklai Tea Research Institute a quarter of a month ago. Before coming I was dreaming of investing my income in 2 specific spot. One for the Shake of uplifting the independence media - "Subscribing to unscripted.news" and secondly for the new era of Assamese film industry - "Taking subscription of Reel Darama App".  But after getting a month of salary I am confused which way to use my money. Some secretly coded spending list is here- 1. C- 5000 2. M- 12000 3. F- 5000 4. IC- 15000 5. IE- 10000   OFCOURSE it exceeded my income but hope still remains for the next month. October.

Unsolved Issue of Hunger in India

Image
P.C.OutlookIndia The issue of hunger in India could be justified with the suggestive phrase of French Political Scientist Jean Francois Bayart, that is "  " the politics of the belly".   T he Annual Hunger Index,2020 provides the evidence where India stands as one of the least performing state, ranking at 94th out of 107th countries under the "serious" category. And which will not take much time to degrade to "alarming category" if proper measures are not taken as soon as possible. The pandemic and consequent lockdown have severely affected daily wage earners and migrant laborers.    Why hunger is a political issue? The foremost answer rooted in the Constitution of India. The preamble itself uphold that India is a  sovereign, socialist, republic, secular and democratic nation . And every democratic country have their own provisions of welfare schemes. India is the biggest democracy with 1.38 Billion population, in the world. But the unwillingness of

Why Assam differenciated into upper and lower, Not North and South Assam

Image
History  Lower Assam was historically known as the Kamrupa empire, which included the present-day districts of Kamrup metro, Kamrup, Nalbari, Barpeta, Goalpara, Darang, and Bongaigaon. At its peak, the Kamrupa kingdom included parts of Bangladesh and West Bengal, such as Rongpur and Siliguri. It was a part of the pala and varman dynasties. Later, Kamatapur was established, which was later subdivided into Cooch Behar and Cooch Hajo. The former is currently in West Bengal, while the latter is in Assam. Lower Assam's main language is Kamrupi (and its various dialects). The Kamrupi language is the ancestor of the current Assamese language as well as the Rajbanshi language. Culture Upper Assam was a part of the Chutiya kingdom, which was later absorbed by the Ahom kingdom. The ahoms' native language is nearly extinct today. They are currently speaking Assamese. Aside from linguistics, Shaktism is more prevalent in kamrupa (lower Assam), whereas Vaishnavism is more prevalent in upper
